Our local MP Caroline Ansell dropped by last week for a chat and reported that she was very interested to learn of how we had supported our clients throughout the pandemic. She told us “it must have made the world of difference to many, throughout what had been an undoubtedly difficult time”. Caroline listened as she was told of how difficult it had been to arrange GP or ENT referrals throughout the pandemic.
During this time, the first four months saw us unable to see any clients for face-to-face consultations but we maintained support by telephone/video and were able to provide hearing aid maintenance and repairs with our collection and delivery service. Once we had the go-ahead we could then see clients for urgent appointments only before finally being able to fully reinstate our service with appropriate modifications to the practice and with the use of full PPE equipment.
